Higher Degree of Accuracy in Paternity Testing Now Available
In standard paternity testing 16 markers are examined to determine the potential relationship. In criminal and FBI DNA testing only 13 markers are looked at.
Now Gaskin Forensics Inc. offers the AccuPlex41 test which examines 41 markers for a much higher degree of testing in such cases as paternity, maternity, avuncular (aunts/uncles), siblingships and grandparents testing.
As reported by Gaskin that in some cases where the 16 marker test was performed that results might be inconclusive. Now with the 41 marker test that situation is lessened greatly. To our knowledge this is the only 41 marker test that is offered commercially at this time.
